The Beginning...
The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said, "No child is born except that it is upon a natural predisposition (fitrah). The parents (then) make him a Jew, or a Christian, or Magian. Just as an animal gives birth to a sound (complete) child, do you detect any impairment?”
Then, Abu Hurayrah recited the ayah,
“The fitrah of Allah upon which he has predisposed people.”
Surah Rum: 30

Learning and nurturing this (fitrah) primordial state is the duty of every human being. Islam is known as Deen Al-Fitrah: the religion of the primordial state (of humans).

Embodied in the practice of the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him), Islam is a way of life that nurtures the natural inclinations of a human being and guides him/her to God.
